On the first page is a note from the author that states: If you have ever looked in the mirror and hated what you saw, this book is for you. Naturally, I had to read it. Speaking from personal experience, the mirror can be my friend or enemy on any given day. For the main character, Lisabeth Lewis, the mirror is also very much her enemy. Suffering from anorexia, Lisabeth barely eats anything and everything she does pick up to eat echoes calories in her mind. Thinking that she can’t take the Thin voice in her head anymore, she decides to swallow some pills and end it all. However, a ringing doorbell stops her.
