Summerland by Elin Hilderbrand appeared to me to be the perfect summer read. From the inviting cover, to the thought of lazy summer days creating footprints in the sand, Summerland screamed to me to read it, read it, read it.

It was not to disappoint. It was a quick riveting read. An adult novel sure to please teens as well, the book centers around teenagers and what happens to them when a most tragic event takes one of their own in a car accident after a graduation party.

I was instantly hooked to these characters, their emotions and whether or not it was indeed an accident.

This book had all the themes that I love in a book: drama, love, mystery, and suspense. A perfect fit for summer reading!
