Lisa McMann delivers yet another intense novel in her newest work, Dead to You. Ethan is a boy that was stolen nine years before and recently has been found and returned to his family. Naturally, it is an adjustment for everyone in the house, most especially Ethan. With most of his memories erased, he struggles with trying to remember his past, and his family. Therapy doesn't help much nor his transitioning back into a school system after spending time on the streets. Yet, the more he tries, the more difficulty his own brother has with him being back. With an ending that is sure to shock, McMann explores the emotional impact of exactly what means to have a place to call home.
